Friction Disc Extruder
A friction disc extruder is a type of extrusion machine used in the food industry for producing a wide range of food products such as pasta, noodles, and snacks. It is also known as a continuous extruder or a screw extruder.
The machine consists of a cylindrical barrel with a rotating screw inside. The screw is surrounded by a stationary friction disc which helps to create a high-pressure environment that pushes the dough or mixture through the extrusion die. The screw and friction disc rotate in opposite directions, which causes the material to be kneaded and mixed as it moves through the barrel.
